I was initially skeptical about AI in marketing. I’d seen too many “revolutionary” tools that promised everything and delivered marginal improvements at best.
But I started noticing something different: the most successful implementations weren’t about individual AI tools. They were about building intelligent systems.
This led me to develop the AIMS Framework—a systematic approach to building marketing intelligence that gets better over time.
What I Believe About Marketing
Strategy beats tactics, every time. Random experiments might generate short-term wins, but systematic approaches build sustainable competitive advantages.
Measurement drives improvement. If you can’t measure it, you can’t optimize it. I focus on the metrics that actually influence business decisions.
Systems compound, tools don’t. The best individual tool will always be outperformed by an integrated system of good tools working together.
Implementation beats perfection. A solid strategy executed consistently will always outperform the perfect strategy that never gets built.
Customer understanding is the foundation. Everything else—content, channels, automation, measurement—should build from deep customer insight.
